Bangungot

I dreamed that I died last night.  In my dream, I was in my father’s ancestral home in a coastal area in the Philippines when a tsunami washed away my grandparents’ small town.  I thought I saw the water entering all the doors, windows and just about every crevice  in the house. I even found myself literally gasping for breath, as the water engulfed me.  But maybe it wasn’t my time.

On the next scenario, I already found myself riding a surf board (though I’ve never tried surfing).  Weird.  It was also the time when I was brough to my senses and I realized that I just had a bad dream.

I must’ve been affected with the book "Veronika Decides to Die," or it could just have been a bad case of indigestion.

OMG. You also had a bangungot?? What is it anyway? Is it a signal that I’m gonna die na or something?

It’s not in the medical books…but some people say it indicates a problem in the pancreas. But don’t worry, when it’s not your time, it won’t kill you. ;-)
