My Life… My Thoughts

Last Saturday, as my friends and I were searching for a decent place to eat, we came across an ad in a Philippine newspaper about this new restaurant in Glendale called Salu-salo.  Our curiosity drove us to try out the place and see whether it will be able to meet our expectations.

True enough it did.  Not only was the food superb, but the ambiance and service were impeccable as well.  The food was pretty much affordable too.  The only downside for me were the restrooms.  Not that it was unclean or anything.  It was immaculate, but I felt that the interiors didn’t match the theme of the restaurant.  In a scale of 5 spoons, I give 4 spoons for food, ambiance and price; 3.5 spoons for service;  and 3 spoons for the restrooms.

Salu-salo is on Wilson and Maryland Street in Glendale.  This is the first Filipino restaurant in California that I am really proud of.  Perhaps you should try it and see for yourself.

Yesterday marked the first working day of the year for me.  Though it was a busy day, funny events took place that started the year right for me.  For one, my boss, a woman I greatly admired and looked up to, made a huge fart at the office.  It was unintentional because the mood was serious.(Of course!  could anyone make an intentional fart?) We didn’t make a big fuss out of it but deep inside I was laughing my guts out. 

But then, nature has its way of getting back at you.  As I was relating that specific event to my roommate, I farted too—from laughing.  Man, that long weekend full of rain must’ve induced gas into our systems.
